You could do this by selling services or items, adding an affiliate link or two, or perhaps adding some EBay auctions ads or something like that.
I am inclined to lean toward AdSense and affiliate links because it's easier to me to keep up my internet sites. It leaves nothing left to do but add new content every once in a while and grow some back-links. To me it almost seems as should I be building a little machine that helped me to generate income.
I'll conclude using a couple suggestions about hosting. If you're going to oversee multiple websites I'd decide on a web-host that allows host multiple domains one account. Then you save a lot of money doing this and things will be much better to manage. My host lets me host around 6 sites on one account. Basically need in addition to that I simply get multiple accounts. Don't rush yourself either. Start out one page at a time and get things working before you rush on another project
